What to Watch

The games that matter: playoff and play-in places, the #1 seeds, and your teams. Every game here says why it's on the list, and nothing is added just to fill it.

Your teams & filters
Teams you follow

Their games always come first, then games tied to them: their next opponents, top-six teams they've played, teams just ahead of them in the seeding that could lose, and conference rivals near them in the standings.

Conferences you follow
Networks you get

None picked means every network. Games whose network isn't announced yet always stay in.

When you can watch

Games that kick off inside one of these times, in your time zone. None means any time.

All times EDT.

How games are picked

A game makes the list when it moves a team's chances of a top-six seed (straight into the playoffs), a top-ten one (the play-in) or its conference's #1 seed - NovaModel plays out the rest of the season thousands of times with the game going each way and counts how much those chances change, more for a game that could go either way - or when both teams are in the top six, both are unbeaten, or it's a play-in, playoff or NBA Cup knockout game. Follow a team and its own games come first, then every game tied to it: its next three opponents, teams it has already played that are in the top six (their results change what beating or losing to them was worth), a future opponent meeting a past one, teams just ahead of it in the seeding with a real chance to lose, and - once teams have played ten games - conference rivals within a game of it. Following a conference counts its races. Seeds and races here go by record alone, without the NBA's tiebreakers.
